"RIESA S" Factory Design Light Enamel Porcelain Bakelite Black

The lamp is made of enamelled stell sheet, outside black and inside white. The distribution box (made from bakelite) is installed on the lamp dome.

There were produced three different sizes of this kind of industrial factory light, this is the small size S.

Technological know-how, used materials and applied design for such high-quality industrial lamps are from around 1920/30. While production in Western Europe changed to plastic from the fifties, fabrication remained unchanged until the collapse of the former GDR.
